The birthplace of the Prophet Muhammad, the Hajj brings many devotees under one roof to feel peaceful in the presence of divine vibes. Sadly, women have a different story to tell.</span><br />

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">A woman named Sabica Khan <a href="http://www.facebook.com/sabeeca.khan/posts/10215090052034351" rel="noopener" target="_blank">took to Facebook</a> to share her #MeToo moment at Hajj, and found out that she wasn’t alone. Many other women from her community joined in with appalling incidents that took place at religious spots. After the horrific rape-murder case of seven-year-old Pakistani girl Zainab, more woman have started opening up about their stories of sexual harassment — and the revelation about its prevalence in holy places like Mecca has left many Netizens shocked.</span><br />

It was my 3rd tawaf, and I felt a hand on my waist. I thought it was just an innocent mistake. I completely ignored. Then… I felt it again. It made me feel very uncomfortable. I kept moving. During my 6th </em>tawaf<em> I suddenly felt something aggressively poking my butt, I froze, unsure of whether it was intentional. I ignored and just kept moving slowly because the crowd was huge. I even tried to turn around but woefully couldn’t. When I reached the Yemeni corner, someone tried to grab and pinch my butt. I decided to stop there. Grabbed his hand and threw it off me *couldn’t move or turn around* I was literally petrified. Couldn’t even escape, so I stood, and turned around as much as I could, to see what’s happening, I turned around but… couldn’t see who it was.</em></span><br />

Stayed quiet because I knew no one would trust me, or nobody would take it seriously, except my mum. So I told her everything when I returned to the hotel room. She was incredibly confused and devastated. After this incident, she never allowed me to go there again alone.</em></span><br />

<em><span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">It’s sad to say that you are not even safe at holy places. I’ve been harassed, not once, not twice, but thrice. My entire experience at the holy city is overshadowed by this horrible incident.</span></em><br />

As South Africa’s President Jacob Zuma is facing being ousted from power, his fifth wife, Tobeka Madiba-Zuma, on Friday warned that “things are about to get ugly”.<br />

A 35-year-old Nigerian man, Francis Ibegbulem, has been laid to rest, days after committing suicide in Altenstadt Bayern, Germany. It was reported that Ibegbulem, from Imo State, moved to Germany from Turkey in 2015 and he was granted 3 years asylum by the German government.<br />

Five people were killed Friday after two army training helicopters crashed into each other near a lake in southern France, police said, one of the deadliest such accidents involving the country’s armed forces in recent years.<br />

The collision took place at around 8:30 am local time near the lake of Carces, about 50 kilometres (30 miles) northwest of the resort of Saint-Tropez.<br />

“The helicopters collided. There were three army personnel in one and two in the other. All are dead,” police said in the nearby town of Brignoles.<br />

The cause of the collision was still unclear.<br />
<br />
All the people on board were officers, a source close to the inquiry said.<br />
<br />
“One of the helicopters broke up and crashed onto a road, the second crashed about 150 to 200 metres away and burned,” said Jean-Luc Videlaine, prefect of the Var region.<br />
<br />
The Gazelle helicopters from the army’s light aviation division were based at a flight school in Cannet-des-Maures.<br />
<br />
Two police helicopters were still searching the crash scene shortly after midday, while rescue services had blocked access to a forest road near the lake, according to an AFP journalist.<br />

Defence Minister Florence Parly, who was en route to the site and the training base, expressed “great sadness” in a Twitter post, while President Emmanuel Macron hailed the “commitment of these officers who were preparing themselves for future missions.”<br />

The French-made Gazelle helicopters entered service in the 1970s, and are used for reconnaissance and light attacks as well as training.<br />

More than two dozen Gazelles are stationed in Cannet des Maures, along with Fennec and Puma choppers.<br />

A local councillor, Jean-Pierre Veran, said helicopters “regularly” fly over the zone and there had never been an accident, calling it a “terrible shock” with debris spread over a large area.<br />

Army chief-of-staff Jean-Pierre Bosser expressed his “solidarity with the family and friends of the victims, as well as their comrades” at the training facility.<br />
